Dr. Anton G. Andrews

Dr. Anton Andrews is a Boston dentist with more than 20 years of experience in TMJ/TMD treatment, dental implants, complex All-on-X cases, and comprehensive smile rehabilitation.

Since opening DENTOLOGY in Boston’s Seaport District with his wife, Dr. Ekaterina Zhantuan, in 2010, Dr. Andrews has focused on personalized care that combines modern technology with careful attention to function, esthetics, and long-term stability.

TMJ/TMD Care

Dr. Andrews treats patients with jaw pain, clicking or locking, headaches, facial discomfort, ear symptoms, bite changes, clenching, grinding, and degenerative TMJ conditions.

His approach looks at how the jaw joints, muscles, bite, and mandibular position work together. When appropriate, diagnosis may include CBCT imaging, digital scanning, and functional bite evaluation.

He favors conservative, non-invasive, and reversible treatment whenever clinically appropriate, especially in complex cases or when previous care has not provided lasting relief.

Dr. Andrews provides TMJ/TMD treatment in Boston at DENTOLOGY’s Seaport office and TMJ/TMD care in Woburn for patients north of Boston.

Dental implantology has been a major part of Dr. Andrews’ practice for many years, from single-tooth replacement to complex full-arch and All-on-X rehabilitation.

He has particular experience treating patients with failing or missing teeth, extensive restorative problems, difficult bite relationships, bone loss, and cases requiring complete implant-supported reconstruction.

Whenever possible, treatment is planned around the final restoration before surgery begins. Digital imaging, 3D planning, and guided techniques may be used to coordinate implant placement with the intended function and appearance of the finished teeth.

Dr. Andrews has worked extensively with digital dentistry since 2006 and uses technology throughout diagnosis, planning, surgery, and restorative treatment.

His work may include CBCT imaging, digital intraoral scanning, CAD/CAM dentistry, guided implant surgery, 3D printing, and digital smile planning.

These tools help him evaluate complex cases in greater detail and plan different phases of treatment together before care begins.

Education and Professional Background

Dr. Andrews began his dental career in 1992 after graduating from a Dental Academy in Russia at age 19. After completing advanced clinical training, he practiced in Moscow before moving to Boston in 2000.

He graduated with honors from Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine in 2005.

In 2015, Dr. Andrews established the DENTOLOGY Continuing Education Program, where he has trained dental professionals in digital dentistry, implant planning, guided surgery, and restorative treatment.

He is a member of the American Dental Association and a Diplomate of the International Academy of Dental Implantology. Dr. Andrews has also lectured nationally and internationally on implant dentistry, digital workflows, and comprehensive restorative care.

Volunteer Work

Dr. Andrews has participated in volunteer dental projects supporting communities in need. At the onset of the war in Ukraine, he helped organize a professional dental group in Massachusetts to provide free emergency dental care for refugees arriving from Ukraine.

Outside the Office

Outside of dentistry, Anton enjoys history, physics, biology, travel with his family, construction, and woodworking.
